Following the resounding success of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, which culminated in the host Ivory Coast lifting the coveted title, all is set for Morocco to host the 2025 edition of the continent’s prestigious tournament.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the Organizing Committee of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025, have revealed the host cities for the tournament’s matches.
This announcement comes on the heels of a successful group stage draw for the tournament, which took place on Monday, January 27, 2025, in Morocco.
Six cities and nine world class stadiums have been selected for Africa’s flagship football tournament, which will run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah, Rabat
Located in Rabat, the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium is a multi-purpose venue named in honor of Prince Moulay Abdellah, the brother of Morocco’s king in 1961. Since 1983, it has served as the home ground of AS FAR. The stadium has a rich history of hosting high-profile events, including the 2014 and 2022 FIFA Club World Cups, as well as the 1988 Africa Cup of Nations. While primarily used for football, the stadium also hosts athletics events. The 69, 500 capacity stadium will also serve as a host venue for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Portugal and Spain. The stadium is expected to host the opening match, a quarter-final, a semi-final, and the grand final of the AFCON.
Complexe Sportif Mohammed V, Casablanca
Located in the heart of Casablanca, the Mohammed V Stadium is a historic venue named in honor of King Mohammed V. With a seating capacity of 45, 000, it holds the distinction of being Morocco’s oldest football stadium. Serving as the home ground for the Morocco national football team, as well as local clubs Wydad AC and Raja CA, the stadium has witnessed numerous iconic matches. Notably, it set an attendance record of 110,000 on two occasions: during the 1997 Casablanca derby and again in 2004 for a match between Morocco and Argentina.
Grand Stade de Marrakech, Marrakech
The Marrakesh Stadium is a state-of-the-art football venue with a seating capacity of 41, 245 capacity. Its unique design takes inspiration from Marrakech’s architectural heritage, boasting thick walls, towering structures, and ornate minarets. As a prominent sports venue, the stadium has hosted the FIFA Club World Cup final on two occasions, in 2013 and 2014.
Complexe Sportif de Fes, Fes
The Fes Sports Complex is a versatile venue that accommodates both football matches and athletics events. With a seating capacity of 35 468, this stadium, built in 2003, provides a unique, traditional atmosphere, adding to the diverse experiences available to fans during the tournament.
Grand Stade de Tange, Tangier
The Grand Stade de Tanger, named after the renowned Moroccan scholar and explorer Ibn Battuta, is a multi-purpose stadium in Tangier. Primarily used for football matches, it also hosts high-profile events such as ceremonies and concerts. Following renovations for the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup, the stadium’s capacity increased to 75, 600. It now serves as the home ground for IR Tanger, replacing the former Stade de Marchan. The stadium is poised to host pivotal matches during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Stade Al Barid, Rabat
The Stade Al Barid is a modern sports venue located in Rabat, with a seating capacity of 18,00 stadiums in Rabat. The Stade Al Barid has been selected to host exciting matches in the Round of 16 during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Stade Olympique Annexe Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah, Rabat
The Stade Olympique Annexe Complexe Sportif Prince Abdellah is among the three new stadium built to foster the smooth running of the tournament. The 21,000 capacity stadium is gearing up to host the third-place playoff match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, promising an electrifying atmosphere for fans.
Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay EL Hassan, Rabat
The Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay EL Hassan is one of the modern sports venue in Rabat, Morocco, that has been selected to host key matches during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The 22 000 capacity stadium will facility group stage matches and knockout stage matches, adding to the tension and drama of the tournament.
Grand Stade d’Agadir, Agadir
The Grand Stade d’Agadir, with a capacity of 41,144, will be the primary venue in the city for the tournament. This modern stadium, inaugurated in 2013, boasts state-of-the-art facilities and has established itself as one of Morocco’s premier sporting arenas. It will host one of the highly anticipated quarter-final matches of AFCON 2025.
