Margaret Ansei appointed acting CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency


Margaret Ansei, widely known as Magoo, has been named the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA).

Her appointment, effective January 27, 2025, indicates the NDC government’s confidence in her leadership to drive the agency’s mission of supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

Ms. Ansei brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suhum in the Eastern Region.

Her background in governance and development has equipped her with the skills necessary to guide the GEA in fostering entrepreneurship and boosting economic growth.

In her capacity as Acting CEO, she is expected to champion innovative programs, strengthen capacity-building initiatives, and enhance financial support for small businesses. By doing so, she aims to create employment opportunities and contribute to the overall economic development of Ghana.

The Ghana Enterprises Agency plays a pivotal role in promoting and developing MSMEs, which are essential to the country’s economy.

With her expertise in local governance and community development, Margaret Ansei is also expected to lead the GEA in achieving its goals and empowering entrepreneurs nationwide.
